The month of April was a very busy month for me personally. I wanted to feature some of the fine dining establishments, but there are so many eateries that have such interesting architecture, signs, interiors and activity, how would I select from these wonderful subjects? I decided to choose those near my gallery and stay on the main avenues down through Seaview, about 15 miles south.
Once reviewing all the photos, one in particular caught my eye. The scene was in the kitchen of one of the eateries I visited. It was full of activity and interesting shapes. This for me was the heart of what every eatery here on the peninsula has in common. If any of you have visited a restaurant kitchen, stainless steel is the backdrop for all the bright colors for produce and warm tones of poultry and meat dishes. Of course for most of us, our sense of smell and taste is primary in this environment, but for an artist, all those shapes, colors and overall structure are just too good to pass up.
