Online Mentoring Classes
I registered for this class, now what happens?
You will receive order confirmation once you have been added to the class roster, see “How do I attend class?” below for more details.
What materials do I need?
Once you register for this class, please click on this link to view a materials list so you can ensure you have everything you need before the class begins.
Where can I get the materials I need?
All materials recommended by Eric can be purchased at the gallery or on our website. If you need a specific item not listed on the website (for example, a large sheet of arches rough watercolor paper), please email gallery@ericwiegardt.com to make those arrangements; we will accommodate your requests to the best of our ability.
What does this class consist of?
Monthly mentoring takes place on 4 Saturdays each month. If there is a month that has 5 Saturdays, Eric will notify you which Saturday the class will not meet. The month of instruction typically includes 2 technique/demonstration sessions, in which Eric will focus on a specific aspect of watercolor painting. The other two sessions of the month will then be critiquing the paintings that students submit. Emailing the paintings for a critique session is entirely voluntary, you are not required to do so. If you choose not to submit a painting, you can still attend the class and learn from the tips and suggestions he gives to the other students. Paintings can be emailed to: ann@ericwiegardt.com.
How do I attend the class?
Shortly before the month begins, Eric’s wife, Ann, will email all students a zoom link they will use to participate in that month’s sessions. If you have not received a link by the evening before the 1st class of the month, please email Ann to let her know: ann@ericwiegardt.com.
What benefits does this class offer?
Eric is one of the rare artists who is able to teach with the same level of expertise that he uses to create his paintings. Several of his students have developed their skills in such a manner that their paintings are being accepted into national and international watercolor shows! He welcomes students of all levels to attend these mentoring classes, yes even beginners! His entire staff is available to offer the highest level of support possible to all of our students; once you join our classes, you become part of our artistic family.
