I am always fascinated with old wooden boats whether they are working boat or a pleasure craft. This boat I found at the Port of Ilwaco. I worked up this acrylic from a watercolor sketch I did on location.

Acrylic paintings are a nice break from the demands of watercolor painting. My approach to painting is still similar with both mediums — aggressive with bold color.
