Beach Scene, original watercolor painting of a mom and two children playing in the sand with some beach toys. It appears to be a tidal pool and rocks on the upper side of the tidal pool.
I've always loved painting people at the beach. The body language of sun, sand, and water seems unique to that locale, as well as the strong light and shadows on skin. This scene was caught at Brackett's Landing in Edmonds, WA.

  1. I enjoy how your painting brings to life a fun beach day for this family. The children’s faces are focused on the toys and sand, the gestures of their bodies kneeling in the sand is realistic and the pink color draws my eye to your focal point. Mom is happily watching her kids. Well done.
