Fourth Annual Student Online Art Show!

Welcome to Eric Wiegardt’s 4th Annual Online Student Art Show! 
Each year, Eric takes great pleasure in thanking and encouraging his students through this special exhibition. This virtual gallery showcases the remarkable talent and progress of those who have studied with Eric during the past year.
We invite all eligible students to participate in this celebration of creativity. Before submitting your artwork, we encourage you to scroll to the bottom of the page to view last year’s inspiring entries. Then, use the submission form below to share your own artistic journey and connect with fellow artists in Eric’s community.
Join us in celebrating the artistry and growth within our community. 
Your participation makes this annual tradition a vibrant and meaningful experience for all!

Online Art Show Rules and Terms

Rules

Eligibility: Only students who have taken a class with Eric Wiegardt in the calendar year 2024 may participate. Don’t worry if you haven’t had a chance to attend a class yet, there is still time to sign-up for Paint Along and Mentoring Classes through December! Click Here to Sign-up!

Submission:
Each eligible student may submit one (1) painting.
Submissions must be made through the official website upload feature.
Deadline for entries: October 5, 2024

Required Information:
Each submission must include:
– Title of the artwork
– Size of the physical painting
– Student’s hometown
– Painting caption (personal description)
– Painting visual description (detailed description of the visual elements)

File Requirements:
– Image files should be under 2MB in size.
– Horizontal images:
* Dimensions: 1200×800 pixels
* Aspect ratio: 3:2
– Vertical images:
* Dimensions: 800×1200 pixels
* Aspect ratio: 2:3
– All images should have a pixel resolution of 72 ppi (pixels per inch)

Original Work:
All submissions must be the student’s original work.

Show Duration:
The online art show will run from November 1 to December 31, 2024.

Display:
Student submissions will be displayed on a special page on the gallery website.

Feedback:
Viewers will have the opportunity to offer feedback on the artwork. Comments will be moderated and approved before posting.

Awards:
Eric Wiegardt will select and present various awards, such as “Best Use of Color”. Winners will be announced during the show.

Terms and Conditions

Eligibility and Participation: This online art show is open only to students who have taken a class with Eric Wiegardt in the calendar year 2024.

By submitting artwork, participants confirm their eligibility and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
Artwork Submission: Each eligible participant may submit one painting via the official website upload feature.
All submitted artwork must be the original work of the submitting student.
Submissions must include the title, size of the physical painting, student’s hometown, painting caption, and painting visual description.
Image files must meet the specified size and format requirements.
The submission deadline is October 5, 2024.
By submitting artwork, participants grant the organizers the right to display the artwork as part of the online show from November 1 to December 31, 2024.
Intellectual Property: Participants retain all intellectual property rights and copyright to their submitted artwork.
Participants warrant that their submission does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party.
Community Engagement: Viewers will have the opportunity to offer feedback on the artwork. All comments will be moderated and approved before posting. The organizers reserve the right to remove any inappropriate or offensive comments.
Awards: Eric Wiegardt will select and present various awards, such as “Best Use of Color”. Winners will be announced during the show. The decision of Eric Wiegardt regarding awards is final.
Liability and Indemnification: The organizers are not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from participation in the online art show. Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organizers from any claims arising from their participation or submitted artwork.
Privacy: Personal information collected for the art show will be used solely for the purposes of administering the show and will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
Modifications and Cancellation: The organizers reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions or cancel the art show at any time without prior notice.
Governing Law: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Washington State.
By participating in the Eric Wiegardt Online Art Show, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these rules and terms and conditions.
